Auckland, New Zealand - January 2011

We flew from Hong Kong to Auckland in New Zealand on the 31st of January 2010. The flight took about 12 hours. We had our our tv screens in front of our seats and watched some movies: Beauty and the Beast, Home Alone and Chicken Little.

It was so sunny we had to buy new sun hats!
The weather in Auckland was nice and sunny.  We visited our old house (Casey was born in Auckland) where we used to live in a place called Kohimarama in Auckland and dropped into our old neighbours to say hello.

Hong Kong - December 2010

When we went to Hong Kong lots of people wanted their pictures taken with us! We don't know why! We felt like we were famous!! Even Jackie Chan wanted a picture with us!

Is this Jackie Chan??!!!
We went on a Sampan (a Sampan is an ancient Chinese wooden boat, they are still in use today).  Mummy was a bit nervous so she didn't come.

We went to a chinese temple in a place named Stanley and lit incense and said prayers.

There are very very very high buildings in Hong Kong and most people live in very high apartments blocks.   There are lots of clothes hanging out of the windows to dry.

Look at all of the washing outside the window.

We went in the Peak Tram - from the very high peak we could see all of Hong Kong which was beautiful.

Leah and Casey at the top of the Peak in Hong Kong

View from Top of Peak
Tram

There are so many sky scraper buildings

We wrote a prayer for our Nana Dolores who is in Heaven and left it at the top of the Peak.

Old picture of the Peak Tram railway line!!

Hong Kong looked really cool at night with all of the lights on the buildings and each night there was a sound and light show.

We loved Hong Kong!
